GXO is taking Agility’s Digit into North Carolina and Tennessee
Oct 26, 2026 · DC Velocity

DC Velocity reported on 26 October 2026 that GXO will add Agility’s Digit humanoid at distribution centers in North Carolina and Tennessee. The earlier deployment, at a Flowery Branch, Georgia building handling Spanx inventory, has moved more than 100,000 totes, according to GXO.
The expanded work is e-commerce fulfillment at Statesville and Lebanon, on repetitive material-handling tasks. Deployments are expected in early 2027 on Digit 4, then Digit 5 when it is commercially available. Agility’s RoboFab plant in Salem, Oregon, is described as a 70,000-square-foot factory with a stated capacity of up to 10,000 robots a year.
A humanoid on a tote line does not retire the conveyor, the photoeye, or the person who clears a jam. It adds one more machine the crew has to recognize when the lane stops.
