DC Velocity reported on 21 October 2026 that Accenture is working with TÜV SÜD, the testing and certification body, on a Physical AI Safety Suite. The stated goal is to help plants and warehouses deploy autonomous mobile robots beside people without treating every safety review as a one-off.

The article names ISO 3691-4, the safety standard for driverless industrial trucks, including AMRs. TÜV SÜD estimates a digital certification process could bring production online up to 30 percent sooner. Patrick Vollmer, the company’s chief executive, is quoted on robots that adapt and on evidence-based certification. Accenture has also stood up a center of excellence for physical AI in warehouses and production.
